I've been a citizen of this country for 8,923 days as of noon today, and for the life of me: I don't know how I'm still capable of feeling "surprise." Every fucking day, my conscience is filled headlines of bad decisions and failed comprehension and just shitty taste on the part of American citizens.

Every day, I'm fucking disgusted to be a part of this nation.

And yet, somehow, I woke up today and I was surprised. Again.

Dear Conservatives.

You broke into my life like a thief breaking into a home in the middle of the night. You convinced my neighbors that you were doing what's best for all of us, and you proceeded to steal - to rob - to destroy - to lie - to swindle - to disguise - to justify - to bribe - to murder - and to eviscerate every shred of normalcy - of goodness - of compassion and empathy and concern - that we as human beings have ever been capable of producing.>And after 200 years, we caught on and we ejected you from our lives.

But, over the past two years, we realized how fickle and amnesic we are and so we've decided to let our slight disillusionment turn us back into mindless, shit-eating drones.

So, Conservative Businessman - possessor of great wealth and great assholeishness - please take this as an invitation to come back into my home and help yourself to whatever scraps I have left to feed my family.
